Identity verification is what makes a balance payable. What each status means, which one actually releases money, and what to do when you are stuck in one.
Earnings accumulate whether or not you are verified. Getting them out requires a verified payout account. Verification is handled by our payments provider, Whop, which is licensed to do it; we never see or store your documents.
Do this before you hit the payout threshold, not after. It takes minutes when it goes smoothly and days when it does not, and there is no reason for that wait to happen while money is sitting still.
Go to Payment in your dashboard and connect your payout account. You will be handed over to Whop, asked for the usual identity documents, and returned to the dashboard. The status on the page updates as the provider works through it.
This is the part worth reading carefully, because several of these look like success and are not.
| Status | What it means | Payable? |
|---|---|---|
| Connected | Verification complete, payout account live. | Yes |
| Not started | You have not begun verification. | No |
| Pending verification | Submitted, being processed. | No |
| Action required | The provider needs something more from you. Open the payout account and it will say what. | No |
| Manual review | A human is looking at it. Nothing for you to do but wait. | No |
| Verification failed | The documents were not accepted. You can retry. | No |
| Denied | The provider declined the account. | No |
| Disabled | The account was turned off. | No |
| Blocked by parent | Blocked upstream of your account. | No |
Only Connected is payable. This is not a technicality. A verification record can
read as approved while the payout account is still in manual review or blocked, and
paying out in that state pays into a rejection: the money leaves, bounces, and has to be
unwound. So the gate is the payout account status, not the verification record.
Any status we do not recognise is treated as not payable, on purpose. The two things a guess could produce are "pay someone unverified" and "make a verified person wait", and only one of those is recoverable.
Action required is the one you can fix yourself. Open the payout account and the provider will name the missing piece, usually a clearer document photo, a proof of address, or a date that did not match.
Verification failed is usually a document quality problem. A photo taken flat, in daylight, with all four corners visible and no glare across the machine-readable strip passes far more often than one taken at an angle.
Manual review has no action. It clears on its own.
Denied or Disabled cannot be resolved from our side, because the decision is not ours. Contact support and we will tell you what we can see, but the provider owns the outcome.
The name on your ToroAds account, the name on your document and the name on your destination bank account or wallet should be the same person. Mismatches are the most common cause of a payout that verifies fine and then fails at the last step.
